Why You Should Attend Back to School Night

Good evening Warriors! Woodson's Back to School Night is tomorrow, Thursday, September 12th from 6 PM - 8 PM. Please come out and bring your parents!

TOP 3 REASONS You and Your Parents Should Attend

3. Your parents can get information about the programs offered within the school building. There are a host (a lot) of programs in the building to help you succeed, so come out and see how you can join!

2. We have a new principal, Dr. Slade, and new Assistant Principals (APs) for your parents to meet. Relationships are important. Administrators write college recommendation letters too!

And the number one reason you should come to Back to School Night with your parents...drumroll please....

1. Your DCCAP Advisor will be there - with COOKIES!! Okay, free cookies aside, I want to meet your parents because we will work closely together this year to make sure you succeed as a student! I want to tell them all about the opportunities we have for you this year...and I may even brag on how awesome of a student you are!! But I won't be able to do that unless you show up...with your parent/guardian!

All jokes aside, it is important for your parents to build a relationship with the school, and the earlier we meet the better! :)

As an incentive (motivation for you to come with your parents), I have a special prize. The first student to bring a parent/guardian to meet me during Back to School Night will receive a special gift! Note: You must mention that you saw this online. :)

Looking forward to seeing your faces tomorrow night!

Yours in Service,
Ms. Jeffries
